Back to School

Tomorrow all of the students return from a three week break and second semester begins! Of course, we made the necessary preparations. James got a haircut…

My first time to cut his hair with scissors

He has so much hair!

And I got all my shirts ready to go and my school supplies laid out. (Because there are only three men on staff right now, James only has to wear a uniform shirt on Friday.)

Attractive, right?

I think we’re set! Please pray for the three hundred students who will begin school again tomorrow. Pray for James and I as we take on our full teaching responsibilities and begin to build relationships with these kids.

PS- We walked by to see the progress on our apartment yesterday. Even though it isn’t ready, what is done looks great and we are excited to get to live there! Also, we are hoping to begin the paperwork for our visas this week. Many people here refer to it as “The Red Tape Jungle”…so please pray that things go as smoothly as possible.

  1. Savanna,
Today I had the pleasure of driving with four 13 y o girls. They had an in-depth conversation about how much they LOVE…school supplies! I immediately thought of you! I hope this week is going well for you & James!
    Love & prayers,

  2. Savanna:
I just read your previous post, so I am a bit behind. By God’s plan, we are all insufficient. You have simply been blessed with the opportunity to realize it, and to know where your strength originates. I will be thinking of you both and using the prayer of Paul in Ephesians 3:14 – 20 as my guide. Your sufficiency comes from something that is hard to get your head around – it is so wide, it is so long, it is so high, and it is so deep… and bestly it gives you IMMEASURABLY more than you can ask or imagine!!! The love and power of Christ.

“Bestly” maybe should read “more betterly”, I did not do good in English class, but I am good with numbers.
Did you cut your Dad’s hair too? Ha, I can say that because I have the same issue!!!
    Drink coffee for your health.

    May God bless you richly!
    Uncle Brent
