Hogar de Vida (or Homes of Life) is a ministry of Children of Promise International. It is a home to 35 children, all under the age of 5, who are waiting to be declared “abandoned” by the government at which point they will be eligible for adoption. These are children who were removed from their homes due to abuse or neglect or turned over to the government by their parents. While they are at Hogar de Vida, we seek to love and care for them and prepare them to transition into life with their adoptive families.
I (Savanna) work with the psychologist to do early stimulation therapy…stimulating the children with lights, color, sounds, water, textures and most importantly touch. I work with all of the children under age 3, and specifically with those who are have developmental delays. Pray for me as I love on these kids, pray for them to overcome the hurt that they’ve experienced, and pray for their future parents as they wait to become a forever family.
